Isobel Chiang is a graphic designer specializing in book design and print production. Rooted in conceptual thinking and a thoughtful engagement with content, her books carefully consider typography, paper, binding structure, cover materials, printing methods, and reader interactions. She is currently designing for Small Editions, an artist book studio in Brooklyn, NY, where she collaborates closely with artists, editors, book binders, and printers. With a thorough knowledge of production methods and print solutions, her practice aims to experiment with and celebrate the form of the book. Most recently, she is the author of the book Paper and Ink (Small Editions, 2024). Previous books she’s worked on have been collected by the Metropolitan Museum of Art, MoMA, Harvard University, Yale University, RISD, Walker Art Center, and Pratt University, among others. 

She has lectured and taught workshops at Yale School of Art, Pratt University, and the New School.
